Delete triangles

Description

Deleting triangles enables you to remove unwanted Surface areas for calculations or visualizations.

Method

Deleted triangles can be restored at any time and are therefore only removed temporarily. For the use of this function it is best to change to view from the top.

If the Triangulation will be recalculated, for example by inserting additional high points (see Add levels that affects the exchanged triangles, the changes will be discarded.

Individual

Description

To delete individual triangles manually allows you to remove triangles just with a click in the desired triangle. For the use of this function it is best to change to view from the top.

Procedure

  1. Choose a Triangulation in the DTM-Tree where you want to delete triangles, and with the right mouse click select the command Delete triangles > Individual.
  2. After selecting the function, you can delete the triangles just by clicking into the triangles in the drawing.
  3. After confirming with Enter or clicking with the right mouse button the function ends.

Multiple

Description

This function allows you to remove multiple triangles along a polyline. For the use of this function it is best to change to view from the top.

Procedure

  1. Choose a triangulation in the DTM-Tree where you want to delete multiple triangles, and with the right mouse click select the command Delete triangles > Multiple.
  2. After selecting the function, draw a polyline along the triangles you want to delete.
  3. After confirming with Enter or clicking with the right mouse button the function ends and all triangles along the drawn polyline are deleted.

Within area

Description

This function allows you to remove multiple triangles within a polyline. For the use of this function it is best to change to view from the top.

Procedure

  1. Choose a Triangulation in the DTM-Tree where you want to delete triangles, and with the right mouse click select the command Delete triangles > Within area.
  2. After selecting the function, draw an automatically closed polyline around the triangles you want to delete.
  3. After confirming with Enter or clicking with the right mouse button the function ends and all triangles that are complete inside the drawn polyline are deleted.

Outside area

Description

This function allows you to remove multiple triangles outside a polyline. For the use of this function it is best to change to view from the top.

Procedure

  1. Choose a Triangulation in the DTM-Tree where you want to delete triangles, and with the right mouse click select the command Delete triangles > Outside area.
  2. After selecting the function, draw an automatically closed polyline around the triangles you don’t want to delete.
  3. After confirming with Enter or clicking with the right mouse button the function ends and all triangles that are complete outside the drawn polyline are deleted.

Restore individually

This function restores individual deleted triangles. Therefore you have to click inside the triangle you want to restore.

Restore all

This function restores all changes of replaced and deleted triangles. Where the function new calculation Quick-DTM, will try to keep all changed triangles.
