 +===== Application of formulas =====
 +Formulas and Sums are, as well as the Object-Manager, a universal tool. The results can be cost estimates (Area x variable costs per m2 = Sum in EUR) or Assessments (Area x variable assessment in points = Total of points).

 +Created formulas are saved across programs and are available for other drawings. The application, selection, and administration of formulas happens in the very same dialogue which is accessed via **Add > Formula**.
 +
 +==== Allocate Formula ====
 +  - Click on **Add > Formula** in the tab **Properties**.\\ {{:produkte:cad:planung:eig005.png?nolink|}}\\ \\
 +  - Select a formula from one of the individual libraries. Confirm your selection with **[Apply]** and the formula will be insterted into the object tree. In the case of variables being embedded in the formula, they are inquired for this process\\ {{:produkte:cad:planung:eig006.png?nolink|}}\\ \\
 +  - The same applies to cross-references to lists where the entry has to specified and confirmed with **[OK]** \\ {{:produkte:cad:planung:eig007.png?nolink|}}\\ \\
 +
 +<WRAP round tip 90%>
 +If a formula is allocated to a group this formula is added to each sub-object. However, the formula can only be changed on the allocated group level.

 +
 +==== Create your own formulas ====
 +In the actual formula dialogue libraries and lists are displayed in the tree on the left. In the **DATAflor** folder there are pre-defined formulas that cannot be changed. Formulas of previous program versions are automatically moved to the folder **Previous formula collection**. With **[Add]** you can add your own libraries, formulas, and lists.
 +
 +  - Click on **Add > Formula** in the tab **Properties**.
 +  - Specify a group that you want to add a new formula to (not for the group DATAflor)\\ {{:produkte:cad:planung:eig008.png?nolink|}}\\ \\
 +  - Specify a name (eg. area with solid excavation) and a unit (eg. t).
 +  - Now define the formula. In this case an object property {area} is needed, because the excavation depends on the size of the area. With the button **[>]** and the selection **Object Property > Area** the value is added to the formula.
 +  - Further entries can be +, -, *, / and numbers being calculation parameters, eg. 2.5. More appropriate is the work with **Variables** that can also be added with **[>]**. The variable can be labelled with [layer thickness]. The advantage is that with every application of the formula a specific object thickness can be specified.
 +  - Lastly, a **List** can be accessed, eg. [conversion weights m3/t]. A list is a collection of pre-defined values that could serve as a knowledge database.
 +  - When applying the formula the variable and the value are inquired from the list.
 +
 +==== Change defined formulas ====
 +Change already defined formulas by marking the corresponding entry on the left in the tree. On the right details are displayed which can simply be edited.
 +
 +{{:produkte:cad:planung:eig009.png?nolink|}}
 +
 +End editing by marking another formula in the tree or saving the formula with **[Apply]**. Changes only affect newly allocated formulas. Formulas that are already applied in the **Object-Manager** are not overwritten.
 +
 +==== Lists ====
 +Lists serve as knowledge databases and for storing required values.
 +
 +{{:produkte:cad:planung:eig010.png?nolink|}}
 +
 +Created lists can easily be amended with **[Edit]**. In the system there are already two standard lists provided, which deal with the conversion of areas and distances in weight.

 +For late editing of variables with the formula already inserted, mark the corresponding attribute in the tab and click on **Variables** on the right.

 +For late editing of the selection of a list entry with the formula already inserted, mark the corresponding attribute in the tab and click on List > on the right

 +<WRAP round tip 90%>
 +Once created formulas can also be deleted or edited. The alteration relates only to a new use of the formula. Drawings, in which the formula was applied in the previous combination are not changed.

 +===== Application of sums =====
 +The use of sums can be useful on the level of groups, eg. to calculate an average value. Sums refer always to the attributes of all subordinate levels.
 +
 +=== Procedure ===
 +  - Mark a group in the object tree and click on **Add > Sum**\\ {{:produkte:cad:planung:eig012.png?nolink|}}\\ \\
 +  - Select the desired attribute from the upper section by double clicking, as well as the calculation in the bottom section.
 +  - With **[OK]** the sum will be allocated to the group as a new attribute..
 +
 +<WRAP round tip 90%>
 +Should an attribute not be listed in the window, even though it is allocated to a sub-group, it can be added by a manual entry in the field **Value to be edited**.

 +===== Percental distribution =====
 +There is an option to allocate the property **Percental dristribution** to groups. This way the propotion of an individual area in a total area can be documented, for example.
 +
 +=== Procedure ===
 +To allocate this property to a group select in the tab **Properties** the function **Add > Percental Distribution** and then the **Object type** for which the attribute is supposed to be created. Now, the percental proportion of each object is calculated and listed in the properties as attribute.

 +Is the property **Percental Distribution** allocated to a group it is inherited to all sub-groups and -objects.

 +The **attribute** can only be **deleted** from the allocated group level.

 +
 +You can use the attribute for the **Caption**, too. For this, mark in the object tree a group or object with this property. Click in the tab **Caption** on the button {{:produkte:cad:planung:bes002.png?nolink&50|}} and there on the entry **Percental Distribution**. Further information can be found in the chapter [[Beschriftung]].
