Quick-Masses

Command: QMASSEN

Description

With the function Quick-Masses you have the opportunity to link objects quicker to the Object-Manager.

Since the object tree with the allocated objects is displayed here, you gain an overview over the already detected objects.

To detect further objects, simply drag the objects from your drawing into the groups/items.

Also, a hatch can be selected for the detection which is then saved as new object type Hatch. In principal, the properties correspond to those of an area.
In contrast to an area hatches can not be filled with island areas, though. If the hatch has and island already it is created automatically by the program. These islands can not be edited manually in the object tree.

Procedure

  1. Mark the object in the drawing to activate the grips.
  2. Right-click on the selected object (and hold the mouse-button pressed).
  3. Drag the cursor on the group/item on the object tree in the window Quick-Masses.
  4. Place the object by releasing the mouse-button.

Functions

Method

As soon as the object is detected in the window Quick-Masses the Properties (eg. distance, area, volume) are displayed and new properties (Graphic, Caption, Theme-Manager) are allocated automatically to this CAD-drawing element in the drawing.

If the drawing is linked to a specification the information can also be retreived from the field Link (see also BUSINESS-Link, GAEB-interface)

In the field Documentation details on the masses are displayed: Documented mass and Exact mass. As soon as an object is detected Differing mass and Percentual Difference are listed additionally.

When detecting an object in the window Quick-Masses there are two more options:

Create a documentation of the object directly: After draging the cursor onto the group/item, press the D-key and then release the left mouse-button. The documentation is created in the drawing.

Please find further information on this topic in Documentation.

The same procedure is used to detect 3D-objects. For this, press the key 3.

In the object tree you can move groups and objects with the left mouse-button. If you also hold the Ctrl-key pressed the group or object is copied.

The window for the Quick-Masses can be fixed/anchored in the work space like the window Properties.

Depending of the posision in the tree, various functions are availible in the Context menu via right mouse click.

Toolbox Basis 1

Info: Opens the Info dialog . All of the settings for the properties of objects such as labeling, graphics and documentation to the currently selected layer in the Mass tree can be made here.

New group: a new group in the object tree (see Object tree > Group). Alternatively press the INS-key of your keyboard.
Derivate contour: Connects the selected objects by outline-tracing and adds them as one object to the object tree (see Outline tracing and Objects).
Choose objects: With this Option you can add objects to the currently selected group by selecting an object in the drawing.
Capture mode: Increases the size of groups and items in the mass tree, allowing a simpler capture of objects using drag & drop
Object zoom: Shows the selected object or the objects of the selected group in the drawing. The zoom factor can be set in the Options.
Highlight objects in drawing: Highlights the selected object or the objects in the selected group in the drawing.
Theme-Manager: Opens the Theme-Manager, in which themes with caption and graphics can be defined.
Color-Theme Manager: Opens the Colortheme manager, in which themes for various color settings can be defined.
Options: With the help of the Options different parameters can be set, that apply to the entire drawing. The changes within a drawing will only be effective if the requests are required for each option.
Delete: Deletes the object from the mass tree. Deleted items are not removed from the drawing. For Contour-lines (see Outline tracing) this can be switched on in the configuration option (see Options). However, when you delete drawing objects, which where captured in the Quick manager, they will be removed from the mass tree at the same time. Therefore a message is displayed.

All further Toolboxes can be turned on or of by click with the right mouse button on a Toolbox and sort according to your wishes.

Toolbox Basis 2

New group: a new group in the object tree (see Object tree > Group). Alternatively press the INS-key of your keyboard.
Detect 3D / 2D: You can detect objects as projection (2D), as 3D-development of the object, or as development on a 3D surface of DATAflor.
Deflect outline: Connects the selected objects by outline-tracing and adds them as one object to the object tree (see Outline tracing and Objects).
Generate legend: Creates a legend from the mass tree structure and the included objects and inserts it into the drawing (see Generate legend).
Transfer to Excel: Passes the mass tree to Microsoft Excel (if installed on the computer). It is important which group is marked to be exported (the export takes place from the selected node) and in what condition, the groups are (closed groups are passed as a summary, with open groups the individual objects are listed).
Collect labels: Merges multiple Text labels to a Megalabel (see Text Tools - Label collect for Megalabel).
Megalabel explode: Explodes a Megalabel to its individual Text labels (see Text Tools - Megalabel explode).
Export object tree: Exports object trees to a selected directory or to a library of the Quick-Manager (see Object tree).
Open Object-Manager: Opens the Object-Manager where the object tree with the detected objects is listed. There are additional functions, eg. for planting plans. Also settings can be made for caption and dimensions.

Toolbox Properties

Theme-Manager: Opens the Theme-Manager, in which themes with caption and graphics can be defined.
Edit properties: Opens the Theme-Manager with the allocated properties of the marked group (if applicable of the object). The changes are applied only to the selected group but not to the underlying theme..
Visibilty-Manager: Controls the visibility of object properties (see Control of visibility).

Toolbox Link/Documentation

BUSINESS Position-Link: Imports a bill of quantities from DATAflor BUSINESS (see BUSINESS-Link).
Refresh specification: Updates the amounts in the specification and the LV structure in the drawing.
Advanced GAEB import: Imports a GAEB LV and automatically creates a position link with DATAflor BUSINESS.
Create documentation: Generates the documentation for the objects of the selected partial tree structure.
Edit documentation: Opens the dialog for the manual editing of the documentation of the selected object.
Delete documentation: Deletes the documentation for the objects of the selected partial tree structure.
Write Mass list: Generates the mass list for the objects of the selected partial tree structure.
Print mass list: Prints the in DATAflor BUSINESS activated mass list.
Export mass list as REB file: Prints a REB conform mass list in the data exchange format D11.
Bing Maps: Shows the location of the linked drawing objects in Microsoft Bing.

Toolbox Graphic cost estimation

Grafic: activates the Grafic cost estimation mode for the objects underneath the selected tree structure.
Transver Lv structure to DATAflor BUSINESS: will transfer the selected tree structure from the Quick-Masses to DATAflor BUSINESS. (Requires: DATAflor BUSINESS is installed)
Graphic cost estimation dialog: after activating the Grafic cost estimation mode you can assign prices, time shedules and text in the Grafic cost estimation dialog.
Automatic correction: The Automatic correction checks if there are any errors in the Quick-Masses tree structure and will suggest solutions for the errors.
